We firmly believe in the best possible education for the children in our care and Montessori is an integral part of this.
At Paint Pots the Montessori & EYFS curriculums are seamlessly blended together in all aspects of what we offer. From our timetable to the activities and materials on our shelves, to our teaching team, the two inextricably linked. Our beautiful Montessori materials are delivered by our trained Montessori teachers to achieve the learning outcomes of the EYFS. As such it is impossible to separate the Montessori from the EYFS within out nurseries, Montessori is at the heart of everything we do.
The government funding we receive for the 'free hours' does not cover the full cost of delivery of the EYFS curriculum, it certainly does not cover the additional costs we experience in delivery of the Montessori curriculum. Including the cost of our Montessori materials or the costs involved in hiring, training and retaining our highly skilled Montessori teachers, who we are incredibly proud of and who deliver the highest possible quality of Montessori education and care.
To enable us to continue to deliver a high-quality Montessori nursery experience at Paint Pots, the delivery of our Montessori curriculum is charged as an additional service. This is invoiced monthly as part of your nursery fees.
I (the parent/carer) understand that Paint Pots will add an additional service charge for delivery of the Montessori curriculum to my monthly nursery fee invoice.
As the EYFS and Montessori curriculums at Paint Pots are inseparable from each other it is impossible to offer an EYFS only place within our setting. Should a family wish to opt out of this additional service charge then Paint Pots would need to supply a bursary to cover the cost of this additional service charge on your behalf.
Should you wish to make an application for Paint Pots to waive the additional services charge for the Montessori Curriculum for your child then please email our Operations Manager Lucy Patterson on lucy@paint-pots.co.uk with an email titled 'Montessori Curriculum Bursary Application' including within the email:
- Your name
- Your contact telephone number
- Your child's name
- Your child's DOB
- Your preferred starting term
- What pattern of attendance you wish your child to attend (full days, mornings/afternoon's only, any specific days of the week etc)
- An outline of why you
Lucy will review your application considering our current availability of spaces and ability to offer a bursary, so that the nursery would cover the additional charges on your behalf.
Please note that there is a practical limit on the nursery's ability to waive the additional charges while still bearing the burden of their costs of delivery of our high-quality Montessori curriculum, which means that we are not able to approve all bursary applications we may receive.
Please also note that it may take some time for us to review your application.
