Toddler Messy Play for 18m-2y6m (Accompanied)
Description
A class for toddlers to explore different textures. Explore sensorial messy play with a carefully selected variety of materials. With the opportunity to squidge, splash, drip, pop, roll, shake and much more. Including dry messy play activities such as oats, lentils and flour to wet messy play through including chia seeds, water and taste-safe paint. This is a perfect class for an active, tactile and inquisitive child. They are encouraged to interact with as much or as little between each tray depending on their interests. The class finishes with songs and music with props and instruments. We use a variety of materials and supply all-in-one overalls. We start the term with taste-safe materials and as the children have developed past the stage of wanting to explore everything by mouth we use more flexibility in the materials we choose adding in non-edible materials such as sand or conkers.
Classroom Setup: The classroom includes a mixture of floor level trays and activities on low tables to encourage exploration and discovery. The classroom includes two dry activities, a water activity and a wet messy play activity. The free flow classroom enables your child to practice their independence, social skills and further develop their gross motor skills while always having that reassuring line of sight (and assistance when needed) with their parent/carer.
